How We Work

Our people work together – sharing knowledge and taking pride in delivering excellence. And the fact that we’re privately owned is a huge deal. It means that, while enjoying the resources and reach that come with being a major global firm, we have the freedom to go in the directions we choose. All of this means opportunities for you.

People talk openly across departments and geographical borders, and there’s a real shared passion about what we do. We support each other and individuality is valued. It creates a special feel to working here – one that we feel is unique. We’re also a JobCrowd Top Company for Graduates To Work For: find out why here.

Who we are
We are a leading global real estate services firm that helps clients transform the way people work, shop and live.

What we’ll achieve
We will lead the real estate industry with the best talent, the best clients and the best results.

What we believe

  • Deep local and global knowledge creates significant value for our clients
  • Relentless curiosity delivers unseen opportunities
  • Every touch point is an opportunity to deliver an exceptional experience for clients
  • Diverse backgrounds, cultures and expertise inspire breakthrough innovation
  • Our brand and our people will be the envy of the industry
  • Alone we are good; together we are great

Property is the single largest contributor to carbon emissions, so sustainability is central to our thinking, our advice, and the example we set. We recognise our responsibility to our clients and our communities. And we know that by embracing the sustainability agenda, we’ll create success for our clients, and for our own business too.

A word from our Chairman EMEA

“Diversity and inclusion are essential to living our values, achieving our business goals and building a stronger Cushman & Wakefield.

In an increasingly competitive global marketplace, we can only succeed when we attract and retain the best talent and when our teams reflect the diversity of our clients.

I strongly believe that a workforce with a diversity of backgrounds, culture and expertise inspires breakthrough innovation. As we expand our business in the region and globally, we are committed to creating an environment where all employees are included, are treated with dignity and respect and are in a position to contribute to our future success.

In relation to our gender diversity objective to attract, develop and retain more women in EMEA we have a framework for all our activity focused on four pillars; attracting outstanding women; providing long term career opportunities for women; strengthening our professional communities and helping working families.”

Giving Back

‘Giving Back’ has to be integral to our culture and Cushman & Wakefield is proud of the huge amount its staff do to give back to local communities. Last year a few examples included: raising well needed funds for LandAid and picking up a World Record in the process with our Cushopoly challenge; our graduates went as far as Tokyo to raise around 5k for Schools Around the World; and our green fingered Birmingham team created a garden in aid of injured military personnel. This year will see the opening of a new study centre at the Gladesmore Community school in Tottenham made possible by the 100K funds we raised through our 7 Towers in 7 Hours fund raising event.

Many of our people support fantastic causes for example by taking part in the ‘Reading in Schools’ programme; youth mentoring; working with the homeless and achieving amazing sporting feats in aid of their chosen charities. In recognition of this fantastic contribution and to give everyone an opportunity to make an impact toward something they are passionate about, Cushman & Wakefield staff are given 1 day’s paid leave to undertake a charitable activity.

We also have our own registered charity, Schools Around the World (SATW) which aims to help widen the horizons of young people (11-25 year olds) whose opportunities are limited by their domestic, social or financial circumstances. SATW aims to give these young people opportunities for improved education, help nurture their aspirations and promote their personal growth. To learn more visit www.satwdonate.org
