Our four-week paid internship is a demanding yet rewarding programme of learning and hands on experience. It’s also a great opportunity to get a taste for global real estate and see whether our industry, and our business, is right for you. This programme offers you the opportunity to work with other interns within your cohort, giving you a chance to start building your network. Excel, and you could be offered a place on our graduate scheme at the end.

Your role as an Intern will involve assisting more experienced surveyors with daily tasks. You will be expected to advise internal employees and external clients on many aspects of the property lifecycle. You can expect to work within any of the below disciplines:

  • Professional (Property Management, Development, Lease Advisory)
  • Agency (Retail, Industrial, Offices)
  • Valuation & Advisory

  • Investment & Asset Management

Eligibility

  • Expected 2.1 undergraduate degree classification / equivalent MSc
  • Must be in penultimate year of study
  • Both non-cognate and cognate degrees are accepted
  • Maths and English GCSEs at Grade C / 4 or Higher
  • Ambitious individuals motivated by success
  • Display business focus with knowledge of the industry and news
  • A high level of drive, initiative, and development potential
  • An ability to anticipate, analyse and solve problems
  • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • An ability to work as part of a team, establishing good working relationships

What to expect

During the internship you’ll attend workshops, learn from professionals, and work on live projects. You’ll be assigned a buddy to help you along, and you’ll work to real objectives set by your team – giving you plenty of opportunities to show what you can do. Breakdown of Programme Areas

Commercial

On a Commercial Internship, you could be placed in any one of a number of teams, including Capital Markets, Retail or Valuation & Advisory.

Living

Our Living team specialise in development, design consultancy and disposal services throughout the UK. Whether through accurately researched launch and pricing strategies, intelligent differentiation and market positioning, or the execution of marketing campaigns, they tailor their advice to the specific circumstances of each instruction.

Planning

This team focuses on the future potential of land and buildings, providing value-adding solutions and strategic advice.

Building Surveying

Our Building Consultancy team provides construction-related advice throughout the UK and Europe. Working with developers, occupiers and investors, their expertise focuses on relocations, refurbishments and dilapidations, as well as other consultancy advice.

Quantity Surveying

This team cost manages every part of the construction; ensuring projects provide high quality and value for money.

Project Management

Providing market-leading services across all sectors, this team offers a fully integrated service for fit out and new build work.

Building Engineering

Our building engineers are concerned with the technology of construction, from fire safe design to building maintenance.

Development

The Development team play an important role in advising public and private sector clients on the delivery of key development, regeneration and growth projects.
